Accommodation Rental at Anahata Yoga Retreat
Nestled in native forest on the edge of Abel Tasman National Park, Anahata Yoga Retreat offers a peaceful and eco-friendly environment with breathtaking views over Golden Bay.
From April 1st, 2025, we are offering two unique rental options:
- Chakra – A Private Straw Bale Studio
- Two Rooms in the Main Surya Building
Both options provide a quiet retreat surrounded by nature, ideal for creatives or those seeking a restorative space.

Chakra – Private Straw-bale Studio
Immerse yourself in the serenity of our off-grid straw bale studio, “Chakra.” Tucked away in nature with panoramic views of Golden Bay, this unique space is perfect for writers, artists, or anyone craving peace and inspiration.

Chakra is a completely private studio set within Anahata’s grounds.
Two Rooms for Rent in Surya
Surya is Anahata’s main building, offering shared facilities in a cozy, communal setting. Each private room has a single bed with space to accommodate double beds/mattresses with storage and is available for rent separately.

- Access to woodfired sauna and Yoga Shala
Availability & Rental Terms:
- Available from: April 1st, 2025
- Minimum rental: 4 weeks
Rental Rates (Per Room):
- $125 per week
- Plus $50 per week (per room) for shared WiFi, gas for cooking, and firewood

Rental Rates:
- $250 per week (for a 12-week rental)
- $300 per week (for rentals of 4-11 weeks)
Additional Costs:
- Renters must supply their own LPG for cooking (available in Takaka)
- Renters must source their own firewood (contacts available upon request)
Self-Contained Camper or Tiny Home
Available NOW
We have spaces available on our land for people who have their own fully self-contained camper or tiny home. (NO hook-ups (power or water). Waste water tank emptying located in Takaka.)
Rental Rates
$100/pw inclusive of fresh water usage (external taps)
$150/pw inclusive of fresh water and use of shared toilet/shower facilities
