Enjoy Anahata’s spectacular natural surroundings, nourishing food, and low technology environment. As the year draws to a close, take time for personal reflection and be inspired by interaction with like-minded people.This retreat allows you to move at your own pace, to relax and unwind, and dip to your toes into the simplicity of a yogic lifestyle. Find your own rhythm with options to join in on yoga classes, relaxation practice, meditation sessions, and chanting. Immerse yourself in bush hikes or open country walks with spectacular views, writing, drawing, or reading from our large library of spiritual and health books. Spend time in the garden or find a spot in the surrounding native forest to meditate or just relax. Healthy vegetarian meals are provided throughout your stay, nourishing your body as you unwind. Leave feeling inspired, refreshed and equipped with new ways to bring balance into your daily life.

There will be a PICK UP available from Takaka Info Centre at 3pm on 22 December 2023 and DROP OFF available on 27th December 2023 at 8.00am.

Swami Karma Karuna, Lakshmi, & Anahata Residents
Swami Karma Karuna, founding member and director of Anahata Yoga Retreat, NZ, is an engaging, intuitive yoga teacher with more than 25 years of training and experience. She specialises in therapeutic applications of yoga, yoga nidra relaxation and pranic practices and shares in a simple and practical way, inspiring people to access and apply yogic practices in their own lives. Lakshmi has been teaching yoga internationally for over 10 years. She has a Diploma of Yogic Studies, is a qualified teacher in the Bihar School of Yoga tradition, and is a registered Senior Teacher with Yoga New Zealand. She is dedicated to guiding others in the powerful practices of traditional yoga and bringing the teachings to life on a practical level. Her dharma as a teacher is to give students yogic tools for everyday life, to empower people to create positive change on a realistic timeline, and to inspire people to live with an attitude of selflessness, compassion, and gratitude.
Lakshmi is a Senior Teacher on the Yoga Nidra & Restorative Yoga Teacher Training and the Meditation & Pranayama Teacher Training at Anahata. Her passions are yoga for everyday life, ritual, manta, and storytelling.
